Detailed description of the works We are converting from oil to gas. We need the gas meter recessed into the wall in our house so we can get our bins out. We have a plumber lined up to do the conversion but need the box recessed. We have been advised the wall would need to be cut with a consaw and the meter recessed into the wall. Also that there is a specific meter box for recessing into the wall but gas regulations require that the pipe still has to come into the box on the surface.
